1. Grass Valley 4th of July Parade - This is one of the most popular events of the day, with locals and tourists lining the streets to watch the parade. The parade starts at 10 am and runs through the downtown area. Following the parade, there will be a celebration under the pines at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley. Live music, entertainment, food and refreshments are offered. Fairgrounds gates open at 3 pm, entertainment begins at 4 pm, and the fireworks spectacular blasts off at 9:30 pm. 2. Lake Wildwood 4th of July Water Sport Demonstration - This event takes place on Lake Wildwood a water sports demonstration that starts at 9am and can be viewed from the shore or on a boat.
