Blue Cow Deli is located in Penn Valley Ca, about 10 minutes from Grass Valley. This is one of my all-time favorite sandwich shops. Having one of the area’s finest lunch menus. With a spacious ranch-style dining room and a lovely dog-friendly patio, the deli offers a unique and comfortable experience. Blue Cow Deli’s menu includes our signature sandwiches, grilled paninis, mixed green & deli salads, home-style soups, decadent desserts & delicious coffee. 2. Afternoon Deli

Located by the new Target in Grass Valley. This sandwich shop is delicious and unique. It offers premium fresh deli sandwiches, Gyro, Vegetarian options, salads, and so much more. Sit inside the cozy restaurant or on the nice outdoor patio. This sandwich shop is off the beaten path and may be a place you miss if you're not a local, but believe me when I say it's definitely worth trying. Check out their menu here 

3. Post of Subs

There are two Port of Subs in Nevada County; however, my favorite is in Nevada City in, as odd as it sounds, "Gold flat Express Lube & Car Wash". It's one of my go-to delis to hit up before heading to a long day on the yuba river. Their sandwiches are delicious, fresh, and perfect for getting them quickly and getting on the road. 4. Fudenjuice

Fudenjuice is located in Nevada City and is not the typical deli you may be thinking of. This is an all-vegetarian and vegan deli that is extremely inclusive to all people and also pet-friendly. They serve fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps, tacos, and the most delicious smoothies you'll ever taste. This is also another place that is off the beaten path and a place where locals frequent. Sourdough & Co is my go-to spot when I want fresh delicious sourdough sandwich dipped in clam chowder soup. This is the thing I crave the most after a long night and one too many drinks. I lovingly refer to it as my hangover cure. This deli offers freshly baked bread, fresh ingredients, and friendly smiles. It's one of those places you don't want to missout on.
