Bluegrass fans from across California and beyond are getting ready to head to Grass Valley for one of the region’s most beloved music traditions  the 51st Annual Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival, happening June 18–21 at the beautiful Nevada County Fairgrounds. 🎻🏕️

Presented by the California Bluegrass Association, the long-running festival has become a signature summer event in Nevada County, bringing thousands of visitors to the Sierra Foothills for four days of live music, camping, family fun, workshops, square dancing, and late-night jam sessions under the pines. 🌲✨

 

🎵 Legendary Lineup Comes to Grass Valley

This year’s festival features a highly anticipated reunion of The Bluegrass Cardinals, the legendary California bluegrass group that helped define the West Coast bluegrass sound. Founded by Don Parmley, David Parmley, and Randy Graham, the band toured nationally from 1974 to 1997 and was inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame in 2025. 🎶🏆

🎟️ Tickets and Camping Information

Single-day tickets range from $25–$85, while four-day festival passes are available for:

🎫 $70 for ages 13–17
🎫 $240 for adults up to age 65
🎫 $225 for seniors 65+

Children 12 and under attend FREE. 👧🧒

Festival passes include tent camping, camper-van or tent-trailer camping without hookups, plus parking for one vehicle. Limited RV hookups are also available. 🚐🌲
